Sam was growing frustrated. He'd been trapped in this weird place for a few days now with no idea when he'd be set free. What was even more frustrating was that the people who worked there wouldn't tell him anything about the outside world.
He was sitting on the couch, flipping through channels on the TV- annoyed at how many channels were blocked- when he heard someone else shuffle into the room. He knew there were other people like him there but he hadn't been allowed near them for the first couple of days, but he was safe to be around other people now that they'd hooked him up to some weird brainwave monitor machine. It beeped annoyingly every few minutes and the nodes were itchy where they were taped to his forehead but if it helped keep his new powers in check, then so be it.
