See now, Sarah sort of understood that people needed eyelids, they did. There were eyelashes on eyelids and they were there to stop dust and other things getting in the eye (and Aeon Flux used hers to catch flies), but she'd wondered, maybe once or twice, what someone would look like without them.
Eyeballs were weird, she knew that, she'd touched her own a few times as well; eyeliner being difficult, dust in eyes that the lashes failed to catch, a stray eyelash slipping into her eye. That wasn't a trouble for Sarah. She knew that eyes were delicate objects.
