Thread: When an unstoppable force meets an immovable object Date: January 22, Afternoon Characters: Eoin, Jaime, and Jadyn Location: The Quarry Warnings: TBA Summary: Jaime makes a match
Jadyn came at him again and Jaime frowned at her form. It looked more like she was fighting with herself than she was with him. It made her moves sloppy and readable from a mile away. He side-stepped her, pushing her on her way past. He heard the growl, but rather than getting in gear, Jadyn seemed to get even more frustrated and unfocused. She didn't even see when he stuck his foot out to simply trip her, and it almost frightened him to see her fall to the ground and not move to get up. This wasn't like Jadyn at all. She hadn't been herself all weekend and it was starting to concern him. He'd thought a nice sparring session would get her to relax, but it only seemed to be making things worse. He knelt beside her.
"Jay. What's going on? You're not even trying."
"I am trying. I'm just trying too many things at once."
Jaime frowned.
"Like what?"
"Like trying not to hurt you!" She snapped, before flinching. "Sorry. It's just hard focusing on fighting when I'm trying to be careful."
"Then stop holding back."
He knew she'd been restraining herself for a while now, something he took great offense to. But every time he brought it up, she just shook her head at him.
"I can't. I won't hurt you, I won't." She shook her head frantically, ending the matter.
Jaime sighed, worried about the tension Jadyn was keeping pent up. If she didn't let go soon, she was going to pop. Jaime frowned, the situation familiar to him before his eyes widened.
