Text/Thread: Puck finds Adam's note Who: Puck, Olivia When: Saturday Jan 14 Where: Puck's townhouse, Olivia's house Warnings: Language, bad spelling in Puck's text What: Puck finds a note containing some surprising information. Information which he decides to share.
Puck left his house around ten o'clock Saturday morning to go collect applications from anyplace around town that looked like it might be hiring. He figured he was good at speaking English and he could lift heavy things, so that ought to count for something, right?
Except, when he got through the front door, shivering in the freezing air, Puck noticed an envelope on his doorstep. Shrugging, he picked it up and opened it while he walked out to where his truck was parked on the street. When he read the note, Puck was so surprised that he almost dropped it onto the frost-covered ground - the frost-covered ground that was suddenly steaming.
It was the same handwriting as the note from the other day and Puck really wished he knew who was sending them. And how the fuck could someone know that it was a boy? Olivia's doctor said it would be like a month until they could tell. What the fuck was going on?
And why suggest names like Adam? Puck would never name his son (if it was a son he was going to have) Adam. Just, no. Sure, Puck didn't want to completely forget about his brother like it was obvious his mother did, but he didn't want a constant reminder of the loss, either. Adam as a name was permanently retired, like when a star athlete retired and they never used his number again.
Puck did chuckle a little at the PPS line. Like the name Adolf would have ever crossed his mind!
Sighing as he climbed into his truck and just sat there, reading the note five, six more times, Puck pulled out his phone and texted his girlfriend.
