Thread: We've got team spirit, how 'bout you? Date: January 10, After school Characters: Jadyn and Santana Location: The football field Summary: Jadyn begins scoping out Jaime's friends
Jadyn had to admit, without a doubt, this was the most amusing cheer practice she'd ever seen. She wouldn't say that she'd watched many cheer practices to begin with, and there was nothing supremely special about the flashing red skirts or acrobatic athletes that traipsed all over the field. No. What really entertained her was the cheer coach who seemed particularly deft in the art of trash talking her own cheerleaders. Beyond trash talking really. She'd hopped, jumped, and skipped her way to all out insulting a seemingly flawless routine and the 'Dyslexic Chihuahuas' performing them. Or were they lower than Dyslexic Chihuahuas? Jadyn didn't know, she'd long since lost count of disturbingly creative insults.
Of course Jaime had told her all about Sue Sylvester, but she'd just assumed he was over-exaggerating, even though that wasn't Jaime's style. It was just so hard to believe some of the outrageous things he told her about the woman. And then there was the talk around school. Some called her crazy, others called her the Devil, and one strange person said she was a Chupacabra in disguise, but one thing was clear, they all feared and/or respected her.
Jadyn glanced at the tall woman from where she was sitting in the opposite bleachers. She was a megalo'maniac, certainly, but Jadyn wouldn't call her crazy. She knew what 'crazy' looked like after all, and this woman wasn't it. Sort of. It got a little fuzzy around the edges. But Jadyn hadn't gone there to watch the cheerleading coach decimate young self-esteems with her mega-phone. She was actually on a mission. Kind of. Pollux wanted her to find people they could trust, and that's what she was doing.
She was actually checking out one person in particular. Her eyes scanned over the freshly made human pyramid, tripping over Brittany and landing on another blonde. Pollux's new friend, Quinn. But Jadyn wasn't there for her either. They would have words soon enough. Instead, her eyes traveled all the way to the top of the pyramid, landing on the cheer captain.
Santana Lopez, if memory served right. Or 'BMW', as Jaime had grown fond of calling her. That was her main target, and oddly enough, Jaime was the reason why. After all, where better to start looking for trustworthy people than those that Jaime himself trusted? She tried not to let the fact that the first two people she met that Jaime trusted and she hated, discourage her from meeting this one. Third time's the charm right?
As cheer practice finally came to a close, Jadyn pulled out a cigarette and placed it between her lips as she reached for her lighter with the white tiger head on it. She was contemplating the best way to approach this girl, since she was a complete stranger, when the cheer captain started making her way towards her. Jadyn smiled. If the rest of the conversation went as easily as that, she'd have a new ally in no time.
