Thread: Dark feelings of angst for Alec
WHO: Lisa and Alec WHEN: Monday; 9th (afternoonish) WHERE: outside McKinley WHAT: Lisa's having a bit of a turbulent day, emotionally speaking. Alec bares the brunt of it. WARNINGS: Mentioned death of family members, alcoholism and darkish thoughts.
Usually, Lisa hated Monday's. They just sucked in general for no reason other than they followed the weekend. This Monday in particular, she was ready to stab. As impossible as that was, she just wasn't interested in anything. Sunday was spent drinking, from half ten in the morning onwards, occasionally broken up with some puking and sobbing before she just found more booze. She just wanted to be fucking numb and nothing worked.
It wasn't even like her bloody mother stuck around, the self-absorbed bitch just bailed her ass out of there, probably going to her brothers house so that she could cry on her sister-in-laws shoulder while her daughter just, what? Dealt with it?
There was no way she was fit for school, she shouldn't have even gotten into her car but fuck it all if she was staying at home all day. Alone. Crying. Fuck that, she wasn't crying, it wasn't that big a deal, they knew it was coming. People fucking died and that shit just happened. But Christ, why did it always hurt so fucking bad? It wasn't even that she was close to her grandmother, not really, she half resented the woman for pulling her ass here, taking her away from home and Michael. And now she was dead. Holy shit, she was dead.
Lisa'd made it as far as the school steps, midway through the day seemed like a brilliant time to show up, she was still half way to drunk but she hauled ass into the little town and across the campus. It always felt like this though, like someone was punching her in the gut repeatedly, after Dad, after Will, with Grandma. It was agonising.
She just stopped on the steps leading up to the school, dropping her head to her knees and wishing she had the energy to sob a little more. Maybe that would stop the tightening in her chest. She just didn't think she was capable of it right then.
