Thread: The New Artie Abrams Characters: Artie and Sam When: November 7, Lunchtime Where: McKinley courtyard
While the weather was still tolerable, Artie decided to eat outside in the courtyard at lunch. Several people hadn't even recognized him that day. Two Cheerios had ambushed him first thing in the morning, thinking that he was a new kid. Naturally, Artie had come to school sporting one of the Kurt-Hummel-approved outfits that he'd purchased at Macy's on Saturday. In spite of his initial reluctance to cooperate, Artie found himself liking the attention. Most people seemed to consider his new appearance an improvement.
He was finding himself with a slight headache at lunch, however, and this puzzled him. He hadn't been sick in months. The usual congestion and stuffiness that was supposed to accompany the change in weather was noticeably absent. Artie had never felt so healthy. Except for this weird headache, he felt wonderful. Finally, he removed his glasses, just to rub the bridge of his nose. A gasp followed as it dawned on him. The world looked slightly clearer without the glasses. Maybe he'd just have to leave them off! Artie sat down with his tray at an empty table and looked around, admiring his new view of the world.
