Thread: Rachel and Melody vs The big, bad, wolf Date: October 25, during first period Characters: Jadyn, Rachel, and Melody later on Location: The Girl's bathroom Summary: Jadyn confronts Rachel and Melody comes to the rescue
Jadyn watched as Jaime’s new special friend entered the girl’s bathroom further down the hall. It hadn’t been hard for Jadyn to find her once she’d caught her scent. Even if Jaime’s scent wasn’t all over her, she’d been smelling her on Jaime for weeks now. Rachel, Jaime had said her name was.
Jadyn gritted her teeth. It seemed like he never stopped talking about her. Oh sure, he’d told her about all of his new friends, the ones he’d made while she’d been locked away. But somehow it always came back to her. The latest thing Jaime had been excited about was how she had been the key to him figuring out how to use his powers at will. He’d been ecstatic as he told Jadyn about the whole incident but instead of being excited for him, she’d only felt bitter.
She had been the one he’d come to when he first started using his powers. She had been the one his subconscious turned to first. Yet all this girl who barely even knew him, had to do was faint and suddenly she was the answer to all his questions? Jadyn hated her. And she wanted to tell Jaime as much, but every time she so much as mentioned the girl’s name, he would light up, like a supernova had gone off inside of him. She just made him so happy, and Jadyn hated her even more for it.
So, Jadyn had come to a decision. If she couldn’t take her concerns to Jaime, she would go to the source of the problem. It was probably better this way. Now she could threaten the girl into staying away from her brother before it was too late. Jaime would probably be hurt, for a while, but Jadyn would be there to cheer him up and soon enough, it would be back to the way it was. The way it was supposed to be. Just the two of them.
That thought in mind, she walked into the bathroom and leaned against the counter, patiently waiting until she emerged from the only occupied stall.
