Who: Eliza & Col Brandon
When: 26th May- Backdated
Where: The Maze
Summary: Eliza gets stuck until she reveals a secret.
Wandering around the seemingly neverending maze, Eliza found herself letting out a small noise of annoyance as she turned a corner to find yet another dead end. Who on earth had designed this infernal contraption? She had enjoyed the pleasure of walking many mazes in her lifetime, yet this was by far the most frustrating of them all. She was quite sure at this point she had turned every corner she could have, exploring every nook and cranny, and yet no matter how many seemingly different steps she took, she constantly found herself back at the bench in the middle.
Tracing her footsteps back towards the bench with ease, seemingly the only thing she felt as though she was able to achieve at this moment, she dropped down onto the bench. Her eyes moving up to the sky, for a moment she found herself wondering just quite how long she had been trapped in her leafy green prison. Surely, there must have been a way out for her? Surely, she could simply think her way out of this? She had considered perhaps scaling the walls in an attempt to seek the path out, yet knowing her luck, she was quite certain that if she did this, she would likely fall and make a fool of herself, just in time for someone to witness her ungraceful demise.
Opening up the paper once more, her eyes went to the words on the parchment she had found on her first trip to the bench what felt like many an hour before. It was all well and good to say that she had to confess a secret, but with her journal locked back in her room for safety, just what was a girl to do? Not that she believed in hokum or witchcraft of course. She was quite certain that there was a way to escape her prison, she just needed to work through the problem and strategise to find a way out.
Hearing a noise close to her, Eliza practically jumped in the air. A hand clutched to her chest, she paused for a moment to calm the rapid beating of her heart from being startled so. “I am quite sorry, I did not hear you approach” she apologized, as though it were her that had frightened him.
