“You’re lucky. I helped a bit and it was…” he left the words fall away and just shook his head and blew out of his lips, so they reverberated with disbelief. His eyes were glittering though. He was sure if he had actually gone to school like the humans had, he would have been better before the land of the internet. Now he just used the cool calculator apps and looked up how to make his spreadsheets do all the math for him. It was amazing how the humans made a way to become so useless after coming so far. And how amazing it was for a fae to now pop in and look up what normal was. People could just fit in and seem normal if they have to look up how to poach an egg on the internet. Because humans had to, as well! “I did a lot of tips tracking and all that as a bartender. It’s strange that I get taxed even though I am not a citizen. Or. Well, I did.” He smirked brightly. A big reason why he loved Summerview. It was not run by a major government. Taxes were sort of… different? Easier? Less seeing half of your income disappear into the ether? And he grew up by the ether. It was not actually there.
“I mean,” he shrugged and gave a tinkling giggle. “My grandfather brought home specimens who were alive to study for his books. I think I have a bad judge of what’s a good idea or not.” Somehow, he smile on his face just made him look more boyish with the wonder that came from the obvious danger and whistles sounding bad ideas. “And some of my family don’t get along with wood much. You know. Fire.” Forrest, not to name any names... But he laughed brightly—enough that it caught the attention of a few people and their faces brightened as well. His joy in that pushed through some of the nearby, sensitive folk. “I was going for Peter Pan, actually.” He smirked. “But I realized I liked San Francisco more than Orange County. Are you saying I’m Prince Charming?”
