Rasmus wasn't having an easy time writing up his last will and testament because, well, to be quite honest, he didn't have that many friends. So who would he leave all of his belongings to? Well, clearly his collection of hardcover Wuthering Heights novels would have to be used to create some kind of museum. Brontë Through the Ages. Or maybe Portraits of Covers of Portraits of Heathcliff. Or maybe just The Collection. That had a nice ring to it. And his film collection? Well, obviously, another museum would have to be built to contain that. His musical instruments he could donate to the radio station. They could auction them off for a good cause — Geneticists Against Color Blindness, possibly. As for the rest? Well, fuck that shit. The Goodwill could take it.
He looked up from his scribbles when the doctor — who the fuck was this guy? — walked in.
Oh, but this doctor looked so friendly. And he looked very knowledgable. Not like Dr. O'Neill, that old coot who kept telling Rasmus to get more sunlight. Yeah, right. Because Vitamin D deficiency was totally his problem. Cue that epic inward eye roll. Dr. O'Neill probably just thought Rasmus was a vampire and was hoping a walk along the beach at sunrise would cure everything that ailed him. Dr. O'Neill was a hack. But this guy? Oh this new guy looked like he had real potential.
Rasmus set his notebook and pen on the exam table and then hopped off so he was standing directly in front of Lucas. This, naturally, put them in an awkward posture, what with Lucas sitting on his stool, but that was actually perfect as far as Rasmus was concerned. He began to unbutton the front of his black skinny jeans and then shook his hips a little to get the waist to slip down a few inches. Enough to expose the area below the belly button and just above the — well, as a doctor Lucas ought to have known what was under there. Just to the right of his hip, which cut rather sharply against his skin (because Rasmus didn't eat enough or because his dragon metabolism was wicked fast,) was a bruise, purple and blotchy.
