Kanuna had seen Aurora in the library before and knew that she worked there, and had assumed he'd been overstepping his bounds by sleeping there but it seemed it wasn't that big of an issue. It helped release some tension in his shoulders. It wasn't often that the homeless were welcome to just come crash at a public place. Most cities actively discouraged it and Kanuna had been ejected from many a public park since being homeless. Once or twice even ending up in jail for a night.
He'd never heard of a library that let its visitors treat it like a hotel, though. This was kind of nice.
"Don't be sorry. I needed to wake up, anyway," he assured with a smile. Folding her guava smelling sweater in half, he leaned out to hand it back to her, careful not to stand to his full height yet, since she'd done him the courtesy of keeping low and not towering over him.
"I'm starving." Kanuna brightened up at the question. "You work here, right? What's your name?" He'd given his already and she hadn't offered hers, but it was polite to ask, anyway.
