As Gabrielle nodded her head a little bit in agreement she pushed back a loose strand of hair back behind her ear. "No, it doesn't." she started. It never did last long when the feeling set in. Sometimes she wondered if it wasn't just a trait of someone who had such a long life span and spending her life among the human world, a result of getting a little melancholy from time to time knowing that people she cared about were either gone or would be eventually. "It is a comfort to know that there are still towns like this. That no matter when it is, there's always someone around who, even if they might not know you well, will probably recognize you." she tried to explain. Because as much as she loved her brother and valued his company, opinions, and ability to make this place actually feel like home, sometimes she needed other people as well.
"I'm sure it won't be a terribly hard streak to keep going." she said hopefully. After she spoke Gabrielle instinctively reached up and used a closed fist to gently tap her head three times, as she didn't see any exposed wood at the moment without having to get up. Might be a little silly, but the woman could be a little superstitious at times. It was why she planted rosemary by her garden gate. "Oh, you may come to regret saying that." she let out a little bit of a laugh to let Parthenope know that she wasn't being terribly serious. "In a few weeks I'll be doing all of the major planting, to which I usually have some people over to help so you'd be more than welcome to join in. It's a lot of work, but it's a lot of fun too." and it usually came with a big dinner after to say thank you.
