"Wonderful!" she exclaimed as she crossed one leg over the other. A little bit of relief passed through Gabrielle when Parthenope agreed to join her. It wasn't that she coudln't have gotten by on her own tonight, heck she had spent a lot of time on her own to not be able to do that now, but it was more that this was exactly what she had been thinking of when she decided to stay. Gabrielle was far from a party girl and really never had been outside of a very small period in the early 1990s. It was more fun for her to just sit and enjoy company over a drink and just talk, or play a game of some sort. "Oh, agreed." Ellie started. "Sometimes it's better than soap operas. Last month I saw someone throw their beer at someone else." which she knew was rather tame, considering, but it had been entertaining. "Oh, yes, date night is always the best to watch. I like seeing the couples that have been together for a while come in. The ones that are comfortable with their competitiveness." she noted hoping somewhere in the back of her head that it didn't sound creepy. Though, in all honesty, given how much people watching she had done over her life, she was fairly sure that it was a normal thing to say? But she also realized she might not exactly be the best opinion on it either. Oh well, at least Parthenope seemed to understand at the moment.
Gabrielle gave a little bit of an understanding laugh and nod at Parthenope's statement about her and her sister. She could understand that, not that her and Eugene were attached at the hip quiet like that. But still, they did spend a good amount of time together now that they lived in the same town again. "I get it." she verbalized as she took a sip from her drink before carefully placing it back down. "Oh, when did you leave?" her brow wrinkled ever so slightly trying to think if she had heard anything about that, just in case. "And how are you liking the arcade?" a gentle smile returned to her face. Hadn't she just been talking to Shara about how she hadn't been there in forever? Well, now Gabrielle was going to have to make a point to go there soon. "Oh, you know me, always on the go more or less." she poked fun at herself a little bit. "Nothing so much new as I've just started to get ready for planting season. Trying to enjoy my slower days as much as I can before all of that picks up again." she admitted.
