Socialization was indeed the name of the game. It had taken the full ten plus years she and Peisinoe had been on the surface, but Parthenope had finally reached a point where she didn't immediately freak everyone out by spilling their own secrets to them upon first meeting. That didn't mean she never did it, but she'd definitely gotten better at holding her tongue. What was normal back home did not translate to the surface side of things. But it also helped that they were in Summerview where her normal wasn't quite so weird as it was in the mundane world. In any case, she'd definitely managed to make friends and acquaintances who weren't immediately put off by her. Thank Neptune for other supernatural beings.
"Oh, absolutely, I'd love to." She hated to impose, but if company was freely offered she'd be remiss to turn it down. "It's especially interesting on league nights," she said, "Or on a Friday. Date night," she added with a fond nod. There was a certain sweet quality to watching couples bowl. Frankly, young couples on dates at the arcade were also amusing. Either they had a cheeky sort of competition going on, or one attempted to be worse at the activity than they actually were to give the other an opportunity to win. Adorable.
Parthenope nodded, knowing precisely what Gabrielle was talking about. "My sister and I are rather attached at the hip sometimes." At least, when she managed to remove her twin from her lab, which was often easier said than done. "But tonight it's just me. I've been quite well, actually. I left the police station to work at the arcade, which has been a real joy. Far more entertaining, although the availability of snacks is going to get me in trouble one of these days." She smiled brightly. Her parents would be appalled at her daily sugar intake. "What about you? What's new with you?"
