Danny looked up to see that it was Lennon who had come inside. He felt mildly guilty for snapping - she hadn't ever done anything to piss him off and they had a pretty good back and forth rapport as coworkers and he was even guilty of making her drink orders first before the other waiters because goddamn, those eyes though.
"Oh, hey Lenny. Thought you were someone else." He turned away from the wall to face her and shrugged to adjust the way the strap of the sling crossed his shoulders. What a damn inconvenience this human shape was. He was craving a sunny rock in his true form where he'd love to sleep this off the next few weeks, but he had a duty here to his two jobs, and his real purpose for being there for the Malcontents.
