Chrysanthemum Fírinne & Julius’s House • Evening TBD • Ongoing |
Julius woke on the couch, and for a moment he couldn’t put his finger on why. Because, frankly, he was exhausted. He had a sore ear on one side and a sore jaw on the other, making choosing a side to sleep on fairly difficult.
It was only when the sensation washed over him again--a tugging in his gut that told him his wards were being nudged by something--that he realized why he'd woken. Or someone. Actually, he’d know the magic of the person bumping up against the wards around his house anywhere. Chrysanthemum. With a groan, he pushed himself up off the couch and released the wards, walking up to the front door much more slowly than he would have normally, avoiding the excessive use of magic he’d demonstrated when their father showed up and opened the door the old fashioned way. “Chrysanthemum. What a surprise,” he greeted, voice coming out in more of a wheeze than anticipated, though whether that was due to the sheer amount of smoking he’d done lately or the damage to his ribcage was up for debate. “To what do I owe the pleasure.” If you were going to alienate anyone who mattered, why not go all out and doubly alienate your sister? |
