Her head tilted at that, raising an eyebrow at this man who so reminded her of a cousin or five. It seemed every other sentence either felt like she was finally breathing or being stabbed, and she couldn't decide which was worse. The nebulousness of it at least had her lingering at the table instead of bolting. "And are we what they should envy?"
As her hand pulled back from sliding the book towards him she picked up her drink to take a sip, eyes staying on him before dropping to her own food, trying to gauge if she still had an appetite. It felt silly to waste food though, and his next words distracted her from contemplating how reliable her current level of tension was. "And what are you usually accused of being, pray tell?" Genuinely curious about the answer, though she already had some ideas. Truthfully, the charming not sincere line had been partially aimed at him, sure, though it really could have fit the Fae as a whole, couldn't it? Not that Aurora was anywhere near charming these days, and sincere? Well, that depended on one's definition most likely.
