It was true. Kenna probably worried too much about something as simple as dirt. She was raised in the woods and it took almost a year to wipe the darkened stain from being barefoot in the forest for 15 years. Then immediately thrust into a place where people took off their shoes before entering a home and other things. It was drilled into her to be “normal” to the outside world. And, as she continued to stay in the human world, it only got stronger. It was hard to keep the two separated when it came to that stuff, so she just merged them into one. It was not as though people could get offended by trying to be respectful, right? Probably not right. But Shara was too sweet to get bent out of shape by Kenna’s desire to not get her clothing messy? Maybe? Oh, nope! Hug time! Ken giggled and wrapped her arms around Shara.
“Omigosh! Omigosh! Omigosh!” Kenna gave an excited squeal and took it happily from the hob’s hands and gave a little happy dance. Though she never would pin Aunt Shara as a grandma. I mean, maybe she was? Who knew? But she was too youthful! Personality wise. Face wise! Life wise? She popped the straw into her mouth and took a drink. It was so sweet. Soooo, so sweet. She loved it. She gave a low hum of enjoyment and excitement. The girl closed her eyes and smiled around the straw.
“Of course I come see you, I have way more time free than you and I miss your face,” Kenna replied with a bit of a pout before catching sight of one of the cookies. Her eyes went wide, and she let out a long ooooooh. “But I am glad you have some time free. Eleven hours is a long time.” After a loud slurp through the straws, which got an alarmed look from Kenna as she blinked at the cup in her hand. Oops? Her head snapped back up to Shara with a smile. “I’m good! I was repotting plants! Some of the little ferns have outgrown their first containers, so they’ll be ready for sale soon. And I have some indoor trees that are growing, to they need to be secured to posts so they grow straight. It’s almost flower season, too, so I am really excited! How about you? What is on the agenda?”
