Samson blinked, his face carefully neutral. He usually tried to camouflage his accent and he never particularly enjoyed people figuring out something about him just like that. But he recovered, smiling broadly at his new... guest. (He was not yet fully prepared to commit to customer.) The smile was slightly greasy, like a secondhand car salesman.
"You're not wrong," he said, padding closer. "And thanks. Word of mouth works surprisingly well in this town. Very Stars Hollow."
He scratched at his brow. "That is a curious one, isn't it? It's a kappa's plaything and it shines in the moonlight. I haven't quite figured out the magic of it yet, but under water, it sounds like you're being serenaded to by frogs. Would you like something to drink?"
