Sam definitely wasn't a particularly submissive or fearful wolf, he'd never been that way when he was human and that had apparently transcended into who he was now that he was a wolf so it was probably a good thing that Kanuna had kept a respectful distance. He wasn't territorial about his work space because that was work and he understood that he couldn't be that way but here at home? Totally different ballgame.
Other werewolves? In the tribe? That was the first Sam was aware of that fact but apparently it had been a thing. Maybe if he'd known that he would have stayed, wouldn't have run, wouldn't have been so scared of what he could do.
