Shame, shame, shame
2/3/19 1AM ish
Ethan ✦ Jayati
walk down memory lane Uh at least PG-13 maybe more Completed |
Jayati was oddly awake. Not that she got tired easily, or that 1AM was particularly late, but usually her mind was elsewhere, restless but tired, when she returned from Patrol around the perimeter of the barrier. But tonight she had flown instead of walked. It was a reminder to the town of what exactly was looking out for them, reassurance while also being a warning for those who meant them harm. That, and she loved flying, missed it. Jayati took every chance she got to fly, even if it wasn't to the extent that she once did. Her firebreath was also something she hadn't been able to break out in - well, since she became Sheriff actually. Which was not as bad as going without flying. So really, it wasn't that surprising that she was awake and in a good mood. Even if being back at the desk, looking at the paperwork reminding her of the storm brewing on the horizzon served as a reminder of how much she was being forced to hold back - and how useful it would be if she wasn't. It didn't help that she had been pushing herself more on patrol and in her own persona training regim, old memories rushing back at the thought of another war. This time not involving memorie of Lalita so much as the people in town, including the kids she had watched grow up. At least there was only one Deputy with her at the station, not that it was ever bustling. Zeke didn't look to her for conversation and bonding either, leaving her to her thoughts and paperwork. |
