"And I've been very lost without you, brother." Zander admitted as he tried to mirror his brother's smile, just as much a force behind the agony that were the circumstances of this return.
Of course he was thankful to have Grayson at all, but it seemed to be one catch after the next, and since this was all very sensitive grounds they spoke about--well, Zander was a bit perturbed. He couldn't believe the other clan couldn't just spare the information. It was in their nature to guard and protect, to help, but to expect such payment in request? In Grayson's condition. The younger Gargoyle couldn't keep his exhales from a low growl.
"I suppose there is no decency anymore." He all but hissed through his teeth. Well and ready to go right to the city and demand this debt in pass. Grayson seemed adamant, as usual, to do it anyways. Even if he didn't have to. Zander didn't know what made him more upset: the fact that he felt utterly powerless still to help Grayson, or that despite the trauma...his brother was still very much so open and calm. He was emotional, but not tense, not angry, or wary.
As he usually was. "You're still so optimistic. So at ease with the present circumstance, be it as it may."
