So many emotions and things flashing across his body, Zander could only check outside the back and make sure no one had noticed his disappearance--they hadn't of course, but as he was as loyal as his upbringing. Yet family came first.
The only family he thought he had left in the world.
A necessary evil... was a sentence that sent off red flags in the back of his mind but Zander would save that for later. Standing before him was his very best friend, comrade, brother. "You befriended...a witch?" Not that all of this had been impossible, and if it meant his brother was alive in a manner of speaking, he didn't care. Unless this witch would be a problem. She had better not be. Zander would not loose his brother again.
Reaching out once more as Gray had brought up...what had happened, what he'd done after breaking free, the traumatizing sight at watching his family and brother being smashed into pieces...Zander's eyes glazed over as he reached out once more to touch poor brothers face, the scar that had obviously ruined his eye. "Nothing I did could make them pay for what they'd done. I would do it again. And any other human who dares to come near these sanctuaries."
