Life on land. It was such a gas. Yeah, it had been yet another long day but the good thing about that? Time, what Nerissa felt like she had in abundance, passed quickly. Here, let me tell you about the surprising beauty benefits you'll find in seawater had been her mantra for the day, along with a smile plastered on her face - a smile faker than a politician's orange spray tan, but of course. She wasn't wrong about the beauty benefits though - not only could sea water be used as a mouthwash, an exfoliant, and a benefit for many skin conditions, it could also provide for pretty beach waves in the hair often attempted with the infernal device known as the curling iron. That was how unsightly neck burns happened. Anyway, one of the other good land things was pizza. Emerging out into the open, beneath the night sky shining with town lights that looked like stars, she decided to forgo the Bloody Mary shot (so spicy that it felt like she got hit in the face with a red-hot shovel, it was great) and go for pizza instead. Vinny's was still open. And their pizza was good - light on the inside, yet a crunchy bottom portion. Fresh and fragrant toppings, herbs baked into the dough. Real cheese and not that stuff that looked like chunks of fat gone hard. She wanted the salt, so on her four slices (don't judge her) she got anchovies (again, with the judgment) and a fuckton of sausage and pepperoni. Cracking open a beer, she looked for a table and was fully prepared to enjoy her cholesterol. Maybe she'd keel over from a heart attack. Could be fun. |
