Charlie pulled her hand back and laid it on her lap, taking another drink from her glass. Nuno. That was a strange name, though of course not the strangest she'd heard in her own bar, let alone the island. She'd always liked different names though. More, she always was envious of the ones who had them. Charlotte, all things considered, was pretty basic white girl, even if she was a siren.
"You were loving watching me figure that out, weren't you?" Charlotte teased. With his teasing tone, it was as obvious as anything else could be. She didn't mind, even if it wasn't exactly a flirting type of tease, which she wasn't sure about yet. It could be, it could not be. Time would tel.
"Okay, that's a good point. I don't want something horrible following me around for all time. Let's go with Charlie for now, hmmm?" she grinned. It wasn't until she took another sip, her mouth curled in amusement that he asked his next question.
"North Carolina, originally. Then off to Florida, now Jersey." She lifted her hands, almost as if she were going to shrug, but she didn't fully go through with it. "I guess you could say I like to stick close to the ocean." Her grin grew, but she didn't elaborate. He didn't need to know. "And what about you? Native or do you just love it here?" she asked, that teasing lith coming back to her voice.
