Luke snorted softly and looked down at the two that were huddled in his hand still and reached out carefully to nudge them. "It's okay," he said, speaking mostly to Mickey but looking at them. He lifted his palm and turned his head to the side, showing the wisps - and Mickey - the implant properly. With his hair ruffled away from it it was more obvious now where it sat against his skull, along with a small, black object behind his ear. "It helps me hear," he told the wisps before he carefully walked them over to the water bowl, tapping it gently. "It's okay guys, he might be mad, but I'm not."
The two remaining wisps danced up to boop his nose before disappearing to join their siblings (siblings? Was that what they were?) in the bowl and he turned to look at Mickey again. He was a little bit in love with those wisps. He wanted some of his very own.
Closing the distance so that he was standing in front of the other witch he reached out, somewhat hesitantly, and touched his shoulder, squeezing once before slowly letting go, staying out of the way of the wisp-cloud. "Seriously, stop apologising. They're like toddlers, right? They don't know any better." He shrugged. "I'd have had to tell you about it sooner or later anyway. Sometimes it's a dealbreaker."
He wet his lower lip, "No free swing required, we're good. Promise. Did Percy tell you how we met? I can tell you my embarrassing story if it'll help make you feel less, uh, bad about what just happened."
