He hadn't had much time to appreciate the gentle shoulder bump, or do anything other than gently bump back before a collection of wisps (what was the collective noun for wisps anyway?) appeared in a veritable pride flag, draped around Mickey, Luke laughed a little. Right up until Mickey took his wrist and dumped a few of the wisps into his upturned palm, hand opened in surprise at the sudden movement, brain stalling briefly. His eyebrow arched at having been given a few to hang out with, delighted - but doing his best not to show it, but it was obvious in the way his eyes lit up (play it cool, Lucas).
He watched as they danced around his hand, lips curled up into a little grin as he teased the two that stayed around his hand. They were trying to hug his fingers and he kept moving his hand just a little so they were left with the air. In apology, he kept his hand still, brushing his finger along the little body that was pressed against him It trilled a little, seemingly pleased with the attention he was paying it. He was also watching the one that bumped against his chest, chuckling as it moved up and rubbed along his face with another happy trill, feeling it tugging at his hair but being completely oblivious to just where it was until Mickey started talking again.
He pressed his lips together and lifted his hand, fingers touching the implant and immediately looking as self conscious as he felt. He cleared his throat, didn't look at Mickey and glanced past Mickey, at the wisps that had held his hat hostage, how it was hovering in air.
"Uh- yeah- I'm fine. Also completely deaf without this thing turned on so. Yeah, didn't think that would come up quite so early in the conversation but. Wisps do what they want."
