Roman had been guarding the bridge for so long that it might be easy to become complacent about his duties but nothing could be further from the truth. Every shift he was alert, wary and keyed into the smallest of movements. This meant that the movement at the trees drew the dragon's attention, a narrowing his eyes and a full inhale and exhale reassured him that it was one of their own though strange for them to be out so late.
He murmured a few words to his partner and stepped away from his post as he went in search of the wanderer. It wasn't overly difficult given the small ball of light he could see hovering in the distance which he could only assume the person was using to help light their way. It was after all very dark and nobody enjoyed stumbling through the woods without some sort of guidance.
"A little late to be out, don't you think?" He rumbled as he approached though admittedly his attention drifted to what she was carrying, baskets, baskets with what smelt like food in them. Now that was... interesting and his stomach betrayed him as it gave a distinctly unhappy grumble.
