"A house no one lives in," she said with a slight tilt of her head. Well, no one had been there since she'd taken up residence on it. Maybe it was someone's early summer home, but maybe it was just abandoned.
The idea of perching in different spots daily was moderately unsettling to her, despite her year or so of traveling. Even when she'd resided in a place for a week or two, she invariably returned to the same place. Yes, there was a risk in it, but it was also something so deeply ingrained in her, she'd have trouble ignoring it.
It did make her wonder if there were others around but ... the island wasn't that big. Tomorrow, maybe, she'd try the city. Just to explore, and see.
