“Accountancy,” Luke said with an exaggerated shudder, taking another piece of pizza to cleanse his pallet after having said such a dastardly word. “I don’t know how you do it. Numbers and math and all that nasty stuff I swore to leave behind when I finished high school but follows me around because it’s,” he lifted one hand to do air quotes, “ ‘an important part of being an adult’. I mean, you know in some countries the government does their taxes for them?”
He tapped his fingers on the table. “Anything happen that I should know about?” He asked, only taking another bite after he’d finished talking. He wasn’t a total heathen, after all.
