Luke gave a mock gasp as Cece teased him about grey hairs, covering his heart with one hand and looking mock-aghast. Having learned to predominantly communicate through facial expressions and gestures, he was exceptionally good at melodramatic faces. "Not grey hair," he lamented dramatically, though in truth he wouldn't really be that bothered when he did go grey; that was distinguished.
He lifted a shoulder, "As if I'd tell you I got bitten. I'd be that person who hid it from everyone so no one worried and hoped I was immune and so ended up leading to the downfall of the town." He grinned, ate some more pizza as she slumped into the chair at the state of the world. "So there."
On the whole, outside of Summerview was pretty messed up.
He wrinkled his nose apologetically. "I know, sorry I don't have better news. Everything out there's on fire. We should just go back to living inside our bubble and screw the rest of the world."
