There were always things that she liked more than others when it came to Summerview. Scarlett had been here a year now, she and Arden had finally settled down, gotten jobs around town. Found a home where they would be safe. After what happened before, that was what was needed. A safe place. A place that she and Arden could just live their lives. And one of the things that she enjoyed the most about Summerview was The Wharf. There were always things she could get for Arden's potions here. Things she could get for her charms. They were never out of stock for what the two of them could use, Scarlett and Arden were never left wanting so anyone who came to them for anything was never left wanting. The sisters made certain of that, even if they worked regular jobs and barrier patrol on the island. Extra money never hurt. Right now, she made her way through the market, picking up ingredients, trinkets, other simple things to decorate the house with. It was all there at her fingertips and Scarlett was always willing to support the local vendors. It was almost like supporting herself in a way. Like supporting Arden. Plus, it meant she didn't have to go to the city to get what she needed. Any time she didn't have to go to the city, that was a good thing. Even if she wanted to just go out. The city meant dodging people she knew from before. Here, she didn't have to worry about that because those people couldn't come here. Her safe haven was exactly that. As she moved through the vendors, along the wharf, she navigated the other pedestrians with ease. Most of them moved around her with no problems. She dodged others. Almost effortlessly. Almost. Because when she wasn't paying attention, that was when she accidentally bumped straight into someone else. |
