She wasn't expecting anyone to join her in this sanctuary. It was off the beaten path, known, sure, but it wasn't often that she ran into other people here. Still, other people were welcome. It wasn't like this was her place. It was public and open to everyone here in Summerview, it just also happened to be one of her favorite places.
Running her hands through her hair once she surfaced in an effort to smooth it back, she jumped a little at the voice, startled at the other man's presence.
She couldn't blame him for his reaction, really. It was 0 degrees out. And most people didn't go for a dunk when it was that cold. Hell, where she was from it didn't even get this cold. Anyone who saw her now who knew her from then would probably have their eyes bugging out of their heads. After all, Louisiana was a far cry from this place.
Turning her head to face the other man, she smiled softly. "It is definitely cold. Colder than back home, that's for sure." But still, it seemed no problem for her. She was, after all, a Naiad. One with the water as much as any mermaid. "But it don't bother me." The accent was hard to miss, southern as it was.
Pushing herself out of the water, she moved back to the boulder she'd been occupying before. Due to her abilities as a Naiad, it took no time at all to dry herself off. She just had to find where she'd put her jacket now... ahh there it was, tucked behind the boulder itself to keep it from getting wet, as if she couldn't fix that problem on her own anyway.
"I'm Daciana Montagne. I own the gallery in Atlantic City. And you are?" She'd always been the cordial sort. This was no different. Then again, most people from the south were the friendly sort.
