Aunty Shara ✦ Mircea McGrumpface
TEA!! PG-13 Ongoing//Closed |
It is quite possible, that had Julius known that Shara had the habit of sweeping into lives in a way not unlike a whirlwind that cooed and fussed rather than destroyed he might have suggested easing into the town. Or at least James' life. But alas, he did not. Which meant when she waltzed into the bookstore for all of the recipe books they had available for any culture that was present in town, she was in, well, full Sharma mode. It didn't help that other than low-key adopting Julius and fussing over Eddie along with a few of her employees, she really hadn't had anywhere to direct her almost compulsive need to take care of people. The shop was wonderful, she really, truly, sincerely loved it. But it wasn't a sprawling manor in beautiful old grounds that housed a dozen families that needed to be cared for, now was it? Shara had far too much free time. So. New Skills! It was the only option. Really, she could only cook James and the other few people she had already adopted so much food before they ran out of space for it. Needed something else to do with her time. But since she was in full Sharma mode, the man behind the desk who was clearly in a snit pinged her radar like a grease fire. What was she supposed to do? Go about her transaction without helping him? Don't be ridiculous. Shara did the only proper thing. "Oh no! No no no, you poor thing, it's barely lunch time! Why are has gone wrong already? This won't do." And she was behind his chair a moment later, rolling it towards the back where she presumed his 'break room' was. Surely there was a - ah! A table! Fantastic. Shara was already humming one of her mother's favorite working songs under her breath as she pushed his chair over the barrier into the back, granting herself permission to do so. Dire circumstances! Totally excusable! "Now, what you need is tea, tea and biscuits, clearly, now I cannot do blood tea, maybe if I had some Unseelie blood but not quite but I think I still know just the thing." It had taken her all of three very intense minutes to go from seeing his face, make a plan, and kidnap him in his own store, but the conjuring food from absolutely nothing did take a moment longer. Her hands pressed together, fingers flexing and with a cheerful but still focused expression on her face. They expanded not slowly like they had with Julius but all at once with a swirl and a lovely, sturdy mug of steaming tea was resting on on her bottom hand. The smell of brownies and paprika rose up around her, even as it swirled with the scent of the tea. It was Summerlands based. The tea her mother made them all with Aishwarya ran off, and every other time something dire happened. A bit of spice to wake you up and keep you alert but with something...Almost creamy about it, soft and comforting, flowers that grew near her home that literally calmed one with the mere touch of a fingertip to a petal. It was a blanket that made you feel safe and protected even as it gave you the power to keep moving Shara had a lot of thoughts on Tea. The bell rang and she wrapped his hands around it the mug, "Oh, customers! How lovely! I'll be right back, sit tight, we'll get you some biscuits as well. Makes everything right as rain. You'll see." Satisfied for the moment, she darted off back into the store, giving a warm and beaming greeting of Welcome to Books and Bins! Can I help you find a book today, or are you waiting for one to call you? |
