Cohen was not a Christmas hater by any means, but he also didn't go crazy for it either. In all honesty, it was just another day. He hadn't really had a family to celebrate with in many years, and any celebrations he might encounter now just made him miss his mother (as cheesy as that probably was). So working was definitely a better alternative than sitting at home by himself. Or worse, being coerced into some sort of celebration or other.
It hadn't been a busy night, which wasn't surprising. Despite Summerview being a rather small city, its sanctuary status tended to mean there was a wide variety of people who called it home and they had an even wider variety of beliefs. Still, there were enough people that came in to make the shift not drag on. He figured the later it got, the more people would order drinks. The more that would come in for something to eat. The less time he would have to think about all the things he might miss.
As Marie approached the bar, he thought at first that she had a drink order for him. He didn't expect what actually came out of her mouth. Cohen raised an eyebrow, obviously confused. "Sure," he said slowly, clearly not sure at all why he was being asked to retrieve a girl from the bathroom. "Do you think she's hurt?"
