Call him paranoid, which he was, but he was happiest when in his own place. That and he was not far from work. He moved in with Matt because that was his best friend. Now, he was a bit less inclined to have roommates. He had been interested for a bit to move onto the island. But the thoughts passed. He wanted to stay in the world he knew as much as possible. He liked having this life separated from the outside world. And he figured now if he had crashed in the spare room, they would not have this friendship they had now. Mostly because he was always partially convinced he would get murdered in his sleep if he lived with people. He was annoying. He annoyed himself.
"Hey, I'll have you know I have had no where near enough sexy time to get anything itchy-scratchy." Maybe not the best bragging point, but what even was shame? He had no time for it. "I'm more of the Christmas puppy who chews on everything." And when Jay pointed out he would be the only one who missed his member if it dropped off? Well? "When you right, you right," he told her with a laugh.
He gave another laugh and shrugged loosely, complete with a slight flail of the arms. "And yet, here I am. Upon your request. Can't be that bad. Admit it, I'm pretty fucking cool." He waggled his eyebrows at her with a "trying to look innocent, but looks like he set the house on fire" smile. He saw the look in her eyes and knew it well. That was the warmth he had been waiting for. It always took a bit to chip away at her, but without fail, Nuno always got that look.
If she said that, he would honestly say no she didn't. It was all natural. Still, he shrugged again. He was the baby of his family until the nieces and nephew started popping out. He rested against the other pool table with his feet stretched at an angle and ankles crossed. His arms were crossed and pool cue sitting next to him. He smirked when the hard crack of the pool balls scattered them across the table.
"Not bad. I have two days off starting tomorrow, so I get to do all the errands I've missed fr the past two weeks. The usual." This time his shrug with with his eyebrows. He had nothing to complain about. He literally did this to himself. "How about you? Anything dramatic with the Home Owner's Association?" In lieu of calling it the island. He knew if she said yes, he would end up on the island to hear more about it over the next two days. If not from her, then doing what he did best. Second best.
