Ah, to be young. Well, that and healthy, leaving her house voluntarily it seemed. Which was more than many, especially in this town, could say. Jayati was glad for her, really. "It's a good starter town I think. You made a good choice." You know, for whatever the approval of a stranger meant. Jayati gave her question due consideration, "I am content. It's home." Which meant a great deal, especially for her who had lost more than one home and knew the value of it.
Jayati nodded to the thanks as she waited, eyes still watching the crowds and the employees, a natural wariness that she carried everywhere paired with her curiosity regarding the brand new surprise business.
When Charlie was done ordering Jayati stuffed the remaining change into the tip jar without glancing to see how much it was. She stuffed one hand in the pocket of her leather jacket, smiling in faint amusement as she followed wordlessly. Any table that had a good view of the counter and the doors worked for her, but even then she could make just about any work. When she sat down she leaned against the wall, still taking in the crowd and the kitchen with visible interest, "You'll have to let me know how yours is. Too many choices."
