The woman's assurances didn't stop her from reaching out without thinking to steady her in case she actually did fall, immediately feeling a twinge of guilt that she had knocked into the poor thing harder than she realized. Maybe she was more distracted than she realized. Jayati had intended to come here for tea alone, but coffee might be more in order after all.
Even a few people in line turned to make sure they were alright, which is partly that small town curiosity and probably a bit of the good mood that seemed to permeate the air here. It was odd, but at least it wasn't oh the barrier is falling odd. "You sure? Sorry, I was too busy trying to decide and wasn't paying attention." Her eyes moved away from the girl though, seeing out that odd laughter that echoed in the shop, surprised to see Lucille ball grinning down at her from a television above the chalkboard with colorful coffee and tea drinks she had never even heard of.
"It's pretty late, you'd think I'd be awake by now." Actually, Jayati had been awake for nearly eight hours, give or take, but she was fairly used to that. Either way, it was nice of her to not hold it against her. At least neither of them had stuff in their hands yet.
