Smiling softly, Daciana shook her head. "No, I mean, sorry, I didn't realize."
Understanding came naturally to her, the youngest daughter in a family full of boys. Five of them. If she hadn't learned to be understanding and patient, she would have murdered all of them in their sleep.
"It'll come when it's supposed to. At least, that's what I believe. I've thought for a long time that we're not completely in control of our own destinies, just what paths we take to get there. The end result is always going to be what was planned."
And why was she waxing theoretical just because someone stated she'd made an incorrect assumption? It was a flaw in her character design, she supposed.
As was the next statement and question that followed. Her curiosity tended to get the better of her. "None of the above. Actually, I was wondering why you introduced yourself as a nurse when you're actually a doctor."
