"I agree," Parker replied with a nod. "A remake is unoriginal considering how much material they have at their disposal to actually use. And probably much more to come. I mean, King's what? A witch?" Parker didn't believe for a second that the man was human. There was too much that didn't add up about him.
"I mean, John Lithgow is a great actor, but he's no Fred Gwynne." According to Parker, Judd would always be Fred Gwynne because the man's voice just encompassed everything that that the character was. She tended towards the thought that it was the accent that he had. That drawl that seemed to be created just for the backroads and eerie woods.
"IT has potential, I'm waiting until I see the next one to really judge it. Think they could have cast a better Beverly though."
Parker made no secret of the fact that she'd never been crazy about Jessica Chastain as an actress, but the other woman was definitely correct about one thing. "Maybe we'll get lucky and he'll cameo in the sequel like he did that Rocky Horror remake."
