"Oh please," Parker started, chuckling as she moved along the foliage and shadows the trees cast in their wake. Days like this, sunny after a morning rain, water still clinging to the leaves and reflecting the light like living prisms, they were some of her favorite kinds of days. To be spending it with Lincoln was simply a bonus.
"You know very well that when it comes to us, sprained ankles aren't a problem and nature is the best place to be. You speak like a grump but you love it out here with me just as much as I love it with you."
Her English accent wasn't something she felt the need to hide when it was just the two of them. If that wasn't a sign of how much trust she had in him, she didn't know what was. After all, Lincoln Carrick knew every little thing there was to know about her.
As he pulled her with him onto the top of the bluff, she moved to wrap her arms around her mate. Tall, dark, and handsome really had nothing on him. He was all that and more. So much more. So much so that she wanted nothing more than to be able to waste away the days lounging in his arms like a goddess on Olympus in the arms of her lover.
She took the time to breathe him in, that scent that was uniquely Lincoln. Earthy, masculine, wolf, it all called to her own wolf and the femininity within her. There were very few peope (read: two) who ever made her feel that way. He was the perfect match for her in every way.
"North or west... trees or more trees..." She grinned as she laid her head against his chest, dark hair coming unraveled from the clip it was held up in. "How about I give you what you've been begging for this entire trip? We could go south and lose ourselves in that lavish tub of bubbly goodness..."
