It was a helluva thing to bond over, wasn't it? She knew there were some here born in New York or even London, who walked through the now paved streets and lamented when they were cobbled. A torn down theater that used to be their favorite here, a bakery that had gone corporate after a hundred years of being owned by a particular family there. A beautiful park lost. But their homes weren't even there to be familiar yet wrong now.
