Xi offered a smile, her painted lips contorting first in an expression of polite acknowledgement before she rolled her eyes and sighed, wrinkling the end of her nose as the palm of a hand slapped gently at the pristine countertop. “Anything they don’t have in the human places,” she began, emitting a hard sigh. “They have no idea how to treat a lady out there.” Her other hand lifted, she thumbed over a shoulder and then sighed contently. “Sorry. I didn’t mean to put that on you,” Xi managed, “...what do you recommend? I’ve had a hard night.”
She had heard of this place from Briar but had never stepped foot into it until now. It was a source of pride for the town and though Xi wasn’t partial to Fae (the tricky lot they were) she had a soft spot for the thief.
