Xiaofan had roamed around the world long enough to know that look - the way his eyes roamed over her perfectly shaped figure, how he literally drank her in. Many mortal men had their chance to claim a piece of her over the many years she had wandered. Once in a while she let them get close enough for a taste but that was all she ever really gave, a morsel to chew on, before she was gone to find something more interesting.
Full lips pulled into a smile of interest, her head canted to the left as she soaked in his description of why the plants were appealing to him. It seemed he was knowledgeable about them. She was impressed by his prowess of flora and it showed on her face and the way she set her features. “I love a man who knows exactly what he wants and why,” she breathed softly, moving only to set her large bag down on the floor at her feet after glancing down to ensure the area was clean. Straightening up, Xi entertained the strange human a bit more, her own eyes searching him over and not being shy about it.
As their gazes met again, a hand lifted and she touched one of the leaves of a potted Chinese Evergreen delicately, “Because they are easy to manage,” she began, her eyes wandering from him, to the plant to behold it, and then back again. “Not only do they keep the air clean and look beautiful, they’re easy to manage. Low light, they do not require much water, and they are reliable, which is a quality many things lack lately. As you mentioned, their leaves and flowers are so pretty. Green is my favorite color, you know.”
Xiaofan moved her hand from the leaf and lowered her hand to her side, pivoting back gracefully on those heels to face the young human. She could tell by his scent alone that he was not of supernatural quality which was a crying shame. So handsome he was. She chewed at the side of her lip for a moment, a gesture almost of seduction, before allowing herself to speak again, “You said you are gardening. What else are you growing? I am a bit of a gardener myself, though I tend to favor plants like these. The bonsai have become a recent favorite of mine, as well.” The tiny trees called to her in a way that satisfied the yearning nurturing part of her spirit.
