Briar had never been one to leave off of something when she should, stop poking the proverbial (or even literal) wound. Extra security usually just meant there was something valuable behind it. She sat up, pushing on his knee as she did so and stretched her legs out, testing the range of movement she had in her fingers and even face. "Too destructive if you have something to lose maybe, but let's focus on you holding out on me."
She dropped a leaf on top of his head, "C'mon, don't tease, you gotta give me more than that." Personally, she had a hand in a few disreputable government changes to say the least, but it was always below board. Secrets when a man thought she was his wife, documents that were in supposedly unreachable safes, that sort of thing. Jobs she picked for the challenge of it, or because she wanted to have certain people owing her a favor. Not for principles. But the way he talked, she had a feeling he had ethical reasons.
Briar's gaze followed his before she dropped more leaves on his, just to be cheeky this time. "Briar. These days, at least." Because no one had said her birth name since her mother did, and no one would. It didn't feel like much to reveal that it wasn't her real name, most folk here did the same. By default she took introductions with a grain of salt, but that made it more fun.
