impeccable timing over here but i just applied this lady, figured i could post for some lines in the meantime. i'll try to keep this brief but this is maeve holbrook, a 36 year old mother, art gallery curator and freelance photographer/artist for hire originally hailing from ireland. she lived in nyc for a few years as a teenager but moved to italy in order to attend college. four years later she came back out of the blue after dropping out and she's been hanging around dive bars, concert venues and art museums for the last fourteen years. personality wise maeve is pretty introverted, prefers to keep a close tight knit group of people as friends, everyone else she's friendly with until they give her a reason not to be friendly, pretty sarcastic, enjoys joking around but she can be serious when the need calls for it, wonderful friend, she's very loyal and will always stick up for others if need be. i feel like that's a good run down version but if you have more time or feel like reading more about her, there's a bit more detailed info on her right over here!

Hey there! This is Nick Halleford, television producer for what I imagine is some version of an NBC morning show, like Today. He's the guy with the headset in the control room, trying to get Hoda and Kathie Lee to drink less wine and read the teleprompter. Pushing forty, perpetually in and out of fleeting relationships, he hates his addiction to Tinder and okCupid, and all those terrible swiping sites, but is seemingly constantly finding himself enmeshed in Tinder conversations and text exchanges that barely move beyond two dates. He hails from London, but has lived in New York since he came there for university at eighteen, and at this point most of his family has come over as well, including his parents and his younger sister, who runs a very hip city fashion and design blog that he barely understands the significance of.
He's got a seven year old daughter, Louisa, and a tempestuous cat who rules their Prospect Heights co-op apartment in Brooklyn. He's got more money than he ought to, but he's a bit embarrassed by his own posh nature, and does his best to keep that fact under wraps. He's mannered and polite, but loves a party and loves to be the center of attention when it comes to chatting up a group of people. His best friend is paulgallo, who he can lament with about the state of dating in this city.

Hey everyone! This is Caroline and she will hopefully be joining your ranks with tomorrow’s adds.
Caroline is an NYC native, born and raised on the Upper East Side. She graduated from Columbia SIPA with a degree in management and is currently getting her business MA. She’s taking it kind of slow since she also owns and runs a used bookstore in Midtown. She makes scarves, hats, mittens and socks for homeless shelters and helps organize her sorority’s (Kappa Alpha Thera) coat drive.
Personality wise, Caroline comes off as very dry and serious until she warms up. Even then she isn’t exactly gregarious. She’s quiet and kind but not a door mat. When she’s done, she’s done and will let you know.

Hi ~na! I just got done applying this girl so I wanted to reach out for lines!! This is Presley and she's 27. She works at a PR agency as a fashion publicist. Originally, she's from Houston, Texas but her dad moved her and her younger brother to New York when she was 16, after her mom died. They lived on the Upper East Side so she ran around with the Upper East Siders (and still does) getting into whatever she could and sneaking out for city adventures. When she graduated from High School she went to NYU for two years (2008-2010ish) then dropped out to follow a boyfriend to LA. That lasted a year and she ended up back in New York. She finished school in 2013 so any classmates from NYU during that time would be awesome!! She lives in Tribeca now and works in Chelsea so neighbors and people she runs into all the time are amazing too. An ex from when she was still in high school would be fun or one after 2013 just be aware that she's a spoiled brat who likes to party. There's much more about her here .
If anyone is interested in bringing in another character, I would also love to have some drama with her "stepmom" who's married to Presley's record producer father. Her stepmom is 22 barely older than Presley's younger brother.
In the meantime let's brainstorm and make up some awesome things.

guess who's back, back again? adrian (formerly ~abrito) was here for a while earlier this year, some might recognize his face from back then. he's the same guy though much matured over the last few months.
originally from miami, he's been living in nyc for about 6-7 years now. an electronic dance music producer and dj, and co-owner of an upstart record label. he's by no means famous, but does enjoy touring on the music festival circuit several months out of the year. he also has a monthly residency at a nightclub in manhattan where any of your club bopper kids can find him behind the decks. expressive, driven, loyal, and very secure in who he is - he actually makes a great friend once people get to know him.
i would love to rekindle old connections and spark up some new ones, so what've you got for us?

So I went on a short hiatus for a bit as between the RL being crazy (switching jobs is hard) and RP life being complicated (Seb is not the easiest person to write at times), a 2 week break was needed. I'm looking for lines, with new and old folks to try and get this guy back into gear. He's almost a 31 year old, NYC ballet primo dancer. He's originally from Montreal, but lived everywhere from Seoul, South Korea to Paris, France to Switzerland. He's an avid hiker and athlete, so any and all connections along those lines are welcome.

Hi folks. I'd love to bring this here Jasper Jones into the community, so I'll throw some info atcha. He's currently 28 and has been predominately living in the Bay Ridge area of Brooklyn with his sister and her family since '07. Mixed media murals are his main source of income, along with freelance photography and jewelry making on the side, sometimes busking for fun. Wanderlust has taken him across the US and Europe for months at a time. He's extremely laid back and has a southern dialect without the accent due to his grandparents' influence, which is kind of interesting.
I imagine he's got some acquaintances at the very least, since he's been kicking around for a decade, though organic lines are my main love. He does have a friend in risstarling. Totally down for backdated scenes to flesh out the dynamics.

heyyy. it's the beginning of the new fiscal year and my brain has been a giant pile of mush for the last month, so i've let this guy fall off a little. he's lost a few lines, so i figured i'd fish for something new.
evan aster, brother of braster with bonus super awkward family drama, something-something of neil. he's a hospice nurse and spends most of his time seeing dead people. oh, and lifting. gym/dead people/meal prep? he's a little/a lot cold and over-the-time blunt, but quiet enough that it doesn't show right away.

hola everyone! allow me to introduce ellisyn dennington the great and small in stature, first of her name, mother of empty scotch bottles. this lovely lady is twenty-seven, soon to be twenty-eight. she works in book publishing on the marketing end, so she's constantly reading fabulous books and throwing ragers in the author's honor. she's the middle sister to dennington, originally from england, but considers herself a new yorker through and through, don't let her slight accent fool you. she recently moved back to the city with her tail tucked between her legs after an extremely explosive break up with an ex-girlfriend she followed to sweden for their work. she's a bit fragile right now due to the embarrassing move back home, but she's honestly glad to be back stateside and in a familiar area. overall, she's sweet, extremely sarcastic and honest to the bone to boot. if you want the hard things said to you with a smile, she's your girl. she can normally be found smoking outside her pilates class and drinking scotch with wallstreeters while regaling the many mishaps on her dating life or people watching during her few lunch breaks.
she currently lives with dylgr in park slope, used to be neighbors in a past life to elli and friends with momi. casavilca is her go-to everything hair and she needs so much more! i'd love to see more friends/connections/hookups in the publishing/book world, owners of bars, galleries and bookshops she's used for events, writers she's harassed, people who know her through her brother from her unceremonious drop-ins, friends from high school, brown graduates, friends she's reconnecting with, various girlfriends or flings of a tinder nature, that one guy that she dated and is still friends with. you name it, i want it.

hey ~na! now that she's applied i figured i should get down to this thing. i'm bad at these, so hold on. this is morgan millburn (answers to both mo and millie), 31, irish, and a commercial/event photographer. secretly an artist/bleeding heart/optimist with a lot of feelings, bless her soft pisces heart. she's a new york native though she's been in and out of the place over the years, and she's the single mom of a three year old son named tommy (technically his dad is in the picture and has shared custody, that's probably just how it looks on paper). she's the kind of personality who used to do almost everything on a whim, because being free was the most important thing to her; now her son is the most important thing to her, but old habits are pretty hard to break when it comes to her personal life. morgan's got a wild story for almost every occasion, doesn't really stay still, and has a few skeletons in her closet that she'll do a lot to never talk about.
she's got friends but she could do with more! neighbors, ex-neighbors, other parents, random flings (she definitely kicked you out before her son woke up, but she's a Mom so she probably sent you out with at least a goodbye banana?), whatever else! photographers/models/artsy types totally welcome too. maybe someone who she met at an art gallery who dissed the b&w pictures before morgan revealed that she was the artist? down for anything you've got to throw at me.

Hey everyone! I wanted to try to get a few more detailed lines developed for Nohla since she's app'd... Nohla is a 26 year old NY native who currently lives in the Lower East Side and has been working as a waitress for the last 4 years. Her life is lived for the sole purpose of doing whatever she wants or what makes her feel good in the moment, which basically is a nice way of saying she's irresponsible. Some of her favorite pass times include dancing, playing vintage arcade games, drinking, and taking random yoga classes when she can afford it. Her personality can be quite sassy, flirtatious and unfiltered. If someone has buttons she could press, Nohla will excitedly push them until she gets a reaction. hi loves, now that is is apped let me toss this out and see if i can get her some lines. this is anna cazorla, born and raised in new haven, connecticut and moved to new york for college. she decided to stay put and has been here nearly 10 years now. she lives on the upper eastside, runs her own business which she is really proud of and embarrassed by at the same time. she says she does social media marketing, which basically means she runs a successful youtube channel/instagram and gets paid to review things, and give advice. she's kind of along the lines of safiya nygaard and shea whitney. she used to talk about it a lot, but her parents constantly judge it as a 'non real job' and now she's more lowkey about it.

now that she's all applied, i figured it would be a good time to throw her out there for some lines. so meet gretchen murphy, a 29-year-old it specialist at buzzfeed. she was born and raised in washington, d.c., lived in pittsburgh for college, and then moved to new york city (specifically manhattan in the east village) after graduation. she’s outgoing, charming, and adventurous but also immature, reckless, and a bit of a flake. she’s a huge pop culture nerd, has a podcast where she reads and reviews fear street novels, loves horror and true crime, and hates acting like a grown up.

let me get this out of the way before i really hunker down and finish his bio. everyone, meet jackson sousa-mckinnie (jack if you're nasty), a 32 year old out of state transplant currently working at the columbia university medical center er room as a nurse. he's pretty obsessive about work so if there's anyone else currently working there, hit me up so we can make create some magic since he spends about 80 percent of his life there. when he's not working, jack likes to go furniture shopping (he's redecorating his apartment), explore upstate new york, be as active as possible and stay in shape. his free time is limited so lots of connections with people around the hospital, at coffee shops, in his apartment building (harlem!) would be great. honestly, i am super willing to bend things and make anything work so hit me up!

Hey guys, I'm on the verge of applying this gal and I was hoping to fish for some lines in the meantime. I was here forever ago ( or a year maybe) of which certainly no one remembers and I'm not sure if anybody who she did have lines with are still around so ANYWAY this is Viv. Shes a 29 year old comedy writer + occasional stand up comedienne. She's also currently in the process of attempting to start a web series based on her blog where she angry rants about her daily frustrations (her uterus mostly or like, Trump). She's originally from Canada but has been in the city for over ten years now. Personality wise she's a lot of low key fun. Probably sends way too many drunk texts convinced she's got some sort of cancer she found while checking WebMD for symptoms and curses too much but a decent person for the most part. Big with the self deprecating humor and nerds out over television shows with complete strangers cause everybody who watches Game of Thrones is her friend, obv. She also volunteers at a women's shelter and routinely tries to convince yannik that 'make your own pizza' lunchable's constitutes as a proper meal.
I've placed her in Brooklyn (Park Slope) where she lives with her 75 year old roommate so if anyone needs a neighbor line in the area I'm your gal. I could also use creative types to hang, people she went to NYU with, a long time bestie, friends to help with the web series and folks in general to be a horrible influence on and put up with her shenanigans. hi all! this is tassa cooper, a twice divorced forty-two year old novelist/bookstore owner currently living in fort greene, brooklyn as of three weeks ago. she lives with her two year old daughter, james, and a nanny who doesn't officially hold the title of "live-in" but who tassa guilts into staying anyway. she isn't exactly mother of the year but she "tries" aka any excuse to hand off james to the poor nanny to try'n carry on with riding her wave of literary success/leftover inheritance. she's sharp and sarcastic and maybe a bit too brutally honest whiiich is just a nice way of saying nasty, probably a little selfish... but it's a bit of a front for a compassionate and warm heart. even so, she still wouldn't hesitate to put a knife in someone's back if it came down to it.
i'd love it all! students she taught when she was working at nyu, the said "not quite living-in nanny", regulars at her bookstore page magic (i mean, if you buy her book, it's already signed for you. wow "lucky you") , fans of her books she's met wherever, maybe an employee or two since she's hardly there, other parents, former east village neighbors, her/benhux's current building neighbors, artist friends, sort of recent tinder dates of either gender now that she has a hang of the app, whatever the heck else we can think of!
