He gesticulated with his fork before scraping up the remainder of his chicken salad. "You don't necessarily need bigger eggs, though. You could just add a smaller egg. Compensate."
Gray did seem enthusiastic about her cooking, and he nodded along, pulling his apple crumble towards him. His eyes widened when she offered to bring him some; it wasn't often that people offered to do things for him. It was almost foreign. "I wouldn't say no to that," he said, and then smiled. "Thanks for the offer."
