Tonks couldn't stay long. She wanted to get home to Remus, to stop at the Leaky Cauldron and listen to general chatter about the business of the day, and it really was simply too painful to think that Moody was truly gone. He might have been a harsh teacher, but he was one of the best she ever had. He taught her how to be an Auror by example far more than class room training. He was a mentor, a hero and one of the hardest workers she'd ever known. Broken from life and yes, very possibly, a little bit mad, he was a great man, and she missed him fiercely.
It was in that respect that she forced herself to come. She was still wearing her Auror's robes, fresh from the office and the entirely too long, tense day at work. She nodded to George, Fred and Fleur as she saw all of them at the table. "...Wotcher..." She offered quietly, but even her heart wasn't fully behind her customary greeting. She tried, at least. She looked a touch paler than her usual self, her heart-shape face drawn and tired.
She passed the table, heading for the bar and glancing up to Aberforth. "Do'ye have some coffee, or something? No butter beer. Just something to keep me up. Thanks." She offered gently, waiting for the hot drink. Though it was still, technically, summer, everything just felt a little bit colder for the last few days' events.
