Gawain looked over at Tonks. She looked pale today, he thought, though perhaps it was the bombshell he'd just dropped. He wouldn't blame anyone for being a bit pale in that case.
He glanced at the other assembled Aurors. Shacklebolt looked relatively calm, but there was a set to his shoulders that made Gawain frown. He might be one who wouldn't work out under the new adminsitration. For all that the man was about his age, Gawain made a mental note to keep an eye on him. For some reason, he'd been passed over as head of the Aurors by Rufus, and Gawain would have dearly loved to find out why.
"I'll take that under consideration, Tonks," he said, nodding. It would be a good choice - especially if she had a partner. Savage, perhaps. They'd done well together when they were stationed at the school.
